Terms of Service

Last updated: April 14, 2026

By using MakeMyPDF ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. What the Service does

MakeMyPDF provides free online tools for manipulating PDF files. Most tools run entirely in your browser. Some tools require server-side processing and will clearly indicate this in their interface.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to process files you do not have the legal right to access or modify.
  • Attempt to overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service.
  • Use automated scripts to make bulk requests to our server-side tools without prior written permission.
  • Use the Service for any activity that violates applicable laws.

3. Your files

You retain full ownership of any files you process through MakeMyPDF. We do not claim any rights to your content. For client-side tools, your files never leave your device. For server-side tools, files are processed in memory and deleted immediately — see our Privacy Policy for details.

4. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to produce correct output, but PDF is a complex format and edge cases exist. Always verify the output of any tool before relying on it for important purposes.

We are not responsible for data loss resulting from use of the Service. Keep backups of your original files.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MakeMyPDF and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption.

6. Availability

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

7. Intellectual property

The MakeMyPDF name, logo, and site design are our property. The underlying open-source libraries (pdf-lib, PDF.js, and others) are used under their respective licenses.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
