MakeMyPDF takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we handle your files, and what third-party services we use.

Client-side tools

Some tools run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When a tool is browser-only:

• No file data is sent to any server.
• No file data is stored in cookies, localStorage, or any database.
• Processing happens in your browser's memory and is discarded when you close the tab.
• You can verify this by opening your browser's Network tab while using that tool.

Server-side tools — minimal, temporary processing

A few tools require server-side processing because the underlying technology doesn't run in browsers. These include OCR, password protection, and heavy compression. When you use these tools:

• Your file is sent to our processing server over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
• The file is kept only long enough to process the request. Some workflows may use temporary working files during processing.
• Temporary inputs and outputs are deleted as soon as the result is returned or the request fails.
• We do not read, index, or analyze the contents of your files.

Analytics and cookies

The current site shell does not load client-side analytics or a cookie banner. Hosting infrastructure may still create standard server logs for security and debugging.

Advertising

The current site shell does not load advertising scripts.

Data we collect

• Uploaded files — only for tools that require server-side processing, and only long enough to return the result.
• Tool state — temporary browser state used while a tool is open.
• Server logs — IP address, user agent, and timestamp may be present in hosting logs.

We do not collect names or email addresses for free tool usage.

Third-party services

• Vercel — hosting and CDN. Subject to Vercel's privacy policy.
• No advertising scripts — the simplified site shell does not load ad code.

Your rights

Because we don't collect personal data or require accounts, there is nothing to delete or export. If you have questions about your data, contact us at [email protected].

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with an updated date.
