Frequently asked questions
What is "N-up" printing for?
Printing multiple document pages on a single sheet of paper. Handouts, booklets, study aids, and general paper-saving. Publishers also call it "imposition."
Is the text still readable at 4-up or 9-up?
2-up and 4-up stay readable at normal font sizes. 6-up and 9-up work best for diagrams, photos, or documents with 14pt+ type.
Does it preserve the original aspect ratio?
Yes. Each page is scaled to fit its tile, keeping the original proportions. The tool adds a small margin and gap between tiles.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The layout computation runs entirely in your browser via pdf-lib.
